Each and every day, Mercedes-Benz moves us all one step closer to a stylish and powerful future. From its exciting and autonomous concept vehicles to its plan for electric cars to make up between 15% and 25% of its sales by 2025, Mercedes-Benz clearly has its eye on the future. And Sears Imported Autos is excited to announce that that future is made even brighter by the recent partnership between Mercedes-Benz and Vivint Solar.

Automaker + solar rooftops = futuristic

Specifically, the automaker and the residential solar rooftop provider have joined forces to create a Mercedes-Benz residential battery. Approximately the size of a small refrigerator, the battery will allow those with solar rooftops to better store the electricity they generate, and to access it when skies are gray. And for Mercedes-Benz owners with electric vehicles, a home battery powered by their own solar rooftop allows them to be even more ecologically friendly than before.

As Boris von Bormann, CEO of Mercedes-Benz Energy Americas, says, "As Mercedes-Benz electrifies its vehicle fleet, solar plus storage is essential to enable those vehicles to be powered by clean energy." And Vivint Solar is just as excited about this partnership as we are.

The choice to work with Mercedes-Benz Energy, a world-class innovator in energy storage, was an easy one. We believe their energy storage system is going to delight our customers and are impressed with their ambitious plans for the future.
