What's a football fan to do if their favorite team didn't make it to the Super Bowl? If you're not sure what to do with yourself, Sears Imported Autos recommends these four games to help liven up your Super Bowl Sunday.
Have fun!
Predictions
Las Vegas casinos, in an effort to bring more betters into their establishments on Super Bowl Sunday, create hundreds of proposition wagers for the big game. These proposition wagers work because they're fun. But you don't have to turn your home into a gambling hall to capitalize on the fun.
Simply make a list of 10-12 fun predictions, such as "Who will score first?" "Which team will have the lead after the first quarter?" "Who will win the coin flip?" How many times will they show Celebrity X in the stands during the game?" Award prizes for the person with the most correct predictions. Most reputable sports sites will provide ideas for the contest, or you can make them up on your own.
Football Bingo
Everybody loves bingo. Everybody loves football. It's time to combine the two. Football Bingo is played like the classic bingo game, with each contestant possessing a five-by-five card and needing five in a row to claim victory. But rather than numbers drawn at random, the squares contain likely football game occurrences, such as "touchdown," "field goal," "third-down conversion," etc. Winners should get prizes. (Throwing the bingo card after your team fumbles is grounds for automatic disqualification and potential removal from the party.)
Super Bowl Trivia
There are two types of people in the world: those who like Super Bowl commercials and those who hate Super Bowl commercials. Give the haters something to do during timeouts with Super Bowl trivia. Award small prizes to the winners. If your house is full of commercial lovers, you can read the trivia questions during lulls in the action or if the game turns into a blowout.
Football Toss
This game can be played indoors or outdoors. Those playing indoors are advised to use a soft football to avoid breaking a lamp, causing a fight to break out between the married couple hosting the party and a messy divorce that requires testimony from all Super Bowl party guests to determine who gets the kids.
You can use a hula hoop, party streamer goal posts, trashcan, or anything else which looks like it'd make a great football toss target. If there's anyone at the party who's overly competitive and/or played quarterback in college, you may want to ask him to play referee for this one.
