At this year’s Frankfurt International Motor Show, we’ll all be treated to the world premiere of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class Cabriolet. Here at Sears Imported Autos, we couldn’t be looking forward to it more. After all, we haven’t had a flagship four-seater from Mercedes-Benz since 1971, and it looks like we’re not the only ones excited about this new vehicle.

As Ola Källenius, Board Member of Daimler AG, Mercedes-Benz Cars Sales, says, "After 44 years we are once again able to offer Mercedes aficionados an open-top car in the S-Class. The new S-Class Cabriolet symbolizes our passion for individual and timelessly exclusive mobility, which we share with our customers."

Here’s a closer look at what Mercedes-Benz means when it says, “Timelessly exclusive mobility.”

The Last Word in Comfort

The S-Class Cabriolet features a wide variety of technologies designed to keep you comfortable, whether you’re driving with its top up or down. In fact, unlike other convertibles, an S-Class driver doesn’t need to select a separate setting to indicate whether the top is up or down. The S-Class controls its climate automatically. Add in its automatic wind protection system, its neck-level heating system, heated armrests and seats, and there’s no question that every ride in the S-Class will be a comfortable one.

Sensuous (and Safe) Design

And those rides will be safe, too. The S-Class Cabriolet is, obviously, an absolutely beautiful vehicle. Given its pedigree, this should come as no surprise to anyone. But drivers might be surprised that a convertible that looks this good could be so safe at the same time—but it is. The Mercedes-Benz S-Class Cabriolet offers a host of safety features, including a roll-over protection system and roll bars that are automatically moved into place in case of an accident.
